It was originally judged on a 10.0 point scale but was later changed to a 30.0 point scale in 2003 that would allow it to be judged on a more complex level. In 2005 it changed to a 20.0 point scale. In 2008 it was changed again, back to the 30.0 point scale. There is a panel of judges, judging is based on technical elements, execution and artistic expression.
